Solel Sabbath Fellowship celebrates each of the Appointed Times of YHVH together as a congregation. We follow the sighting of the new moon from Jerusalem to determine our feast dates. The following dates are projected for the 2023 Fall Feasts.
Fall Feasts 2023
Yom Teruah
Yom Teruah (Day of Shouting or Trumpets) is a high holy day, beginning at sundown on Saturday, September 16, and going through sundown on Sunday, September 17, is a Sabbath on which no regular (income-producing) work is to be done (Leviticus 23:24-25). It is permissible to make food (as is the case for the high holy day mentioned in Exodus 21:16). We are commanded to assemble and shout!
We will be assembling together to celebrate Yom Teruah on Saturday evening, September 16, at 7 PM, at the Hirn’s home in Laingsburg.
This year’s celebration will follow the weekly Sabbath at our regular location. After our meal together, we will drive about mile to the Hirn’s farm. We are planning activities together before sunset, followed by a short time of Scripture reading and worship. At sunset, we will all try to sight the moon from Michigan (weather permitting) and blow our shofars and SHOUT! Then we will have a taco bar and fellowship together. Bring sides for taco bar to share (in addition to your regular Sabbath meal), lawn chairs, warm clothes (as the temperatures might be cool), and optional noise makers and shofars.
Meeting Location:
Jeremy and Katherine Hirn
2615 Alward Rd
Laingsburg, MI
Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur (Day of Coverings or Atonement) is a Sabbath day, beginning at sundown on Monday, September 25, and going through sundown on Tuesday, September 26. It is a complete Sabbath on which absolutely NO work of any kind is to be done. We are commanded to humble ourselves and to assemble (Leviticus 23:27-32).
We will be assembling together for Yom KIppur on Tuesday, September 26, at 2:00 pm at Perry City Hall in Perry. We will be meeting on the 3rd floor.
We will have music and teaching, as well as our annual tradition of acting out Leviticus 16. Then we will just fellowship together for the afternoon. We will not be planning any food in respect for those who wish to fast.

It is a Sabbath on which no regular (income-producing) work is to be done (Leviticus 23:24-25). It is permissible to make food (as is the case for the high holy day mentioned in Exodus 21:16). The 8th day is also a high holy day, beginning at sundown on Saturday, October 7, and going through sundown on Sunday, October 8. It is a Sabbath on which no regular (income-producing) work is to be done (Leviticus 23:24-25). It is permissible to make food (as is the case for the high holy day mentioned in Exodus 21:16). You are invited to gather with us in central Michigan for Sukkot for Day 1 or 8. Click here for Sukkot Information. Registration for the entire week of Sukkot is now closed. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Sukkot T-Shirts
We have finished our design for Sukkot t-shirts. If you’d like one, order today, and we will bring the shirts to Sukkot so you can wear them! Each t-shirt is $15, and we have both youth and adult sizes available. Because we are taking these to a local t-shirt and doing most of the work ourselves, we need to have your payment by Monday, September 18. (That’s the day after Yom Teruah.) More Information Here
